Much much lost…gains few, but precious…
My rich Harvest rises to the occasion yet again…this time the contribution of significant papers- Dr. Rajiv Narula (SUNY, USA) Dr. Sancharini Das (Savitri Phule Pune University,Maharashtra), Rittwika Mukherjee (Asutosh College) and the cover created by the expressive Bappaditya Patra (a chemistry teacher, by profession)!
People juggle professions…the ‘umbrella man’ in front of my college now sells pen and paper,
an old lady waiting in queue without a mask faces an angry crowd but is finally offered an extra from one among them with a word of caution, students forego online classes to rush to Sunderbans and Midnapore with some aid for the Yaas affected, a friend arranges milk and biscuits for children with malnutrition, the local ‘iron boy’ rescues a feeble pigeon from a gang of strays, the book stall owner offers his meagre space for the tiny bird, the locals take turns to feed stray animals, a senior citizen carries an injured puppy to a far away vet braving the threats
of the virus and cyclone, an over exhausted teacher recreates ‘The Happy Prince’ in our mother tongue…
All to remain alive…
And so do we all…each in our own, however trivial way…
A new ‘Harvest’…amidst storm and strife
Another promise honoured…one more dream fulfilled…
